Start of the measurement campaigns for the LIFE AMooRe project

The LIFE AMooRe project is measuring greenhouse gas emissions in the Wörschach peatland from 2025 to 2026 in order to determine specific emission factors for Austrian peatlands and to scientifically underpin the Austrian Peatland Strategy 2030+.

As part of the LIFE project AMooRe (Austrian Moor Restoration), measurement campaigns have begun in the Wörschacher Moor in the Enns Valley. From January 2025 to December 2026, greenhouse gas emissions will be measured there in cooperation with HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein. The aim is to determine specific emission factors for Austrian peatlands for the first time and thus create a scientific basis for the implementation of the Austrian Peatland Strategy 2030+.
