Johanna started an internship in the working group Geoecology in October. It is part of her master programme 'Climate studies' at Wageningen University (The Netherlands). She will work on an estimation of greenhouse gas emissions of Austrian peatlands by using vegetation data as a proxy. She's also interested in the effect of climate change on peatland hydrology and interactions of vegetation, soil and atmosphere.
