Micol Sonnino joined the Urban Studies Working Group as a Prae Doc in March, 2025. Her academic background is a Bachelor´s Degree on East Asian Studies at the University of Bologna, followed by a Joint Master's Degree in Sustainable Development (University of Graz, University of Hiroshima). Her work experiences include consultancies for EU Commission funded projects working with mayor´s offices in Italy and Colombia. Her research interest lies in exploring the integration of participatory methods for empowering communities to shape urban sustainability transformations.
