Mapping and Modeling the Crime Perception Gap

In the survey, you will make a map of your perception of safety in your city. This will take approximately 12 to 15 minutes to complete.

We want to understand if there is any difference between the places where people feel unsafe and the places where the actual crimes occur. This is generally known as the "crime perception gap" (CPG). However, we want to identify patterns and gain insights about the factors that influence the gap from a geographical perspective. The cities we are focusing on are Vienna and Budapest. Thus, the only condition is that you currently live or have lived before in any of these cities!

Your participation is invaluable to us, and your responses will greatly contribute to the success of this research. The survey is anonymous and will remain open until the 15th of January 2024!
