Ronald ist Senior Lecturer am Institut für Geographie und Regionalforschung an der Universität Wien und Leiter der HI-CONN Arbeitsgruppe. Seine Forschung konzentriert sich auf die Wasser- und Sedimentkonnektivität in Flusseinzugsgebieten, mit einem besonderen Schwerpunkt auf der Rolle des Menschen.
